Utilising Technology to Fuel Offline Connections
Modern technology has made life easier, there’s no doubt about it. But, is it always in the best interests of humanity?
Take the dating industry. In theory, it is now easier than ever to find a partner. You can even manage your love life from the comfort of your sofa. But, does the gamification of finding “the one” exploit a basic human need?
Dating app fatigue is very much a modern reality. To combat this, we started hosting events for singles in London which allow people to meet in a more organic way – zero-pressure dating events ranging from axe throwing to wine tasting. People meet at real-life events based on a common interest (or a desire to try something new!).
Using this experience (and incorporating extensive learnings from guests as well as other singles event providers) we have built a B2B2C SaaS platform to disrupt the dating industry focusing on people, not pixels.
